
Crab Rig
The Crab Rig shows how to adapt a simple and basic complexity rig into an expressive character that can be utilized to create a variety of poses and shapes. The Rig uses a simple IK arm set up, different blend shapes on top of a IK set up for the eyes.
Jellyfish Rig
This Rig utilizes three main structures to flesh out the rig. Firstly, the rig uses simulations to move and control the thinner tentacles, secondly a simple IK rig for the main center tentacles, and a point cluster deformation on the top dome of the Rig. All Three are combined through a skinned wrap around several meshes – all was created and scripted in python.
